Announcing our Theme

Nothing shall keep me from my novel!

Illinois Novel Quest uses the Writing Quest framework, and the theme this year is “Not wind, nor wain, nor busy schedule shall keep me from my novel.”

We love the perseverance this theme evokes. November is a busy time with holidays, holiday prep, and trying to enjoy the random warm day, but we all commit to making progress toward our writing. More, we commit to helping each other.

Bad weather cannot keep us from write-ins (because a chunk are virtual)! Tornados (unlikely in November but you never know) will not stop us from writing! Schedules will be accommodating (and my friends all know I disappear)!

Get pumped for November - even if you only write 100 words, or edit half a page - that’s still proof that you’re showing up. That nothing will keep you back from hitting your goals, even if they slow you down.
